Rainbows form when sunlight passes through raindrops. The light bends, reflects inside the drop, and bends again - splitting into the ROYGBIV spectrum, the colorful arc we see in the sky.

You only see your rainbow. Because the angle of reflection must be just right - about 42° from the direction opposite the sun - each person sees a slightly different rainbow.

One rainy afternoon, grey clouds stretched across the sky. Behind them waited SHALMIAK - the quiet, glowing sun, warming the world from behind the scenes.
Below, a parade of raindrops twirled through the air. At the center was RAINBOWPHANT - a big, kind creature with a shimmering trunk and a playful spirit. Wherever he wandered, the rain followed in sparkling trails.
